This route makes it possible to use a car and bike shuttle to hike the Palmer Mountain segment of the C2C Trail.

Shuttle hikes involve hiking a portion of the trail and bicycling back to your car.

This is a 13.3 mile loop. Bicycles are permitted on all but a 1 mile section of trail between Mile 2.3 to 3.3. The segment between Mile 0 to Mile 2.3 (NF-3127) is most suitable for hiking, although a mountain bike could work. The segment between Mile 3.3 and Mile 6.8 (NF-5083) is open to vehicles. The remainder of the route is on gravel roads, with the exception of the final .25 mile.

I suggest leaving a bicycle near Mile 6.8 (at the intersection of NF-5083 and 1000 Line Road, driving back to Mile 0, and then doing a 6.8 mile hike before biking 6.5 miles back to the car.
