Siuslaw & Smith River Area
About this area
This is a large rectangular shaped area between Eugene and the Coast. The northern boundary runs from Eugene to Florence and the southern boundary runs from Cottage Grove to Reedsport. Two major rivers flow through the area (the Siuslaw River and the Smith River) and both rivers are followed by low-traffic paved roads. Gravel roads connect the two river valleys, which make loop routes possible.

(5) Roseburg Forest Products: This private timber company owns thousands of acres in the eastern half of the Siuslaw & Smith River Area and controls the gates to many roads. Access to these roads is limited during fire season. This page provides more information and maps.
